Selina and Nihal’s wedding was nothing short of a cultural celebration—a beautiful amalgamation of the South and North, brought together with love, tradition, and a whole lot of creativity. Having met in New York, their rom-com began in the hustle and bustle of the city that never sleeps. Little did they know that one day they would be planning a wedding halfway across the world!
When they first called us, it was about six months before their big day. They were still in the US, and we were busy designing their dream wedding all the way from India. And that’s when the magic started. What followed were months of video calls, messages, and brainstorming sessions, with countless ideas flying back and forth across time zones.
Planning Across Oceans
The distance didn’t slow us down—in fact, it only made things more exciting. Selina and Nihal were a joy to work with, always open to ideas, but also clear on what they wanted. Their vision? A wedding that honoured both of their cultural backgrounds, celebrated their love, and left everyone in awe. Simple enough, right?
Our biggest challenge? Their venue. It was grand, stunning, and had its own charm, but we wanted to make it look different, while still preserving its beauty. The goal was to create something unique, something that felt like them—a perfect blend of tradition and modern flair.
When the Day Finally Came
After months of meticulous planning, the day finally arrived, and we met in person for the first time. There’s always something magical about seeing everything come together, and with Selina and Nihal, it felt like the perfect meeting of hearts and minds. The wedding venue, with all its grandeur, looked spectacular—an enchanting fusion of cultures with vibrant colours and intricate details that told their love story.
It was a day filled with love, laughter, and plenty of dancing. We kept the grandeur intact but added our signature touch, creating a space that felt intimate, beautiful, and completely unique to Selina and Nihal.
A Wedding to Remember
Selina and Nihal’s wedding wasn’t just about blending North and South—it was about blending two lives, two stories, and two families. The months of planning, the late-night calls, and the endless decisions all led to a day that was as magical as their love story. It was a reminder that no matter how far apart we are, with the right team, the right energy, and a lot of love, anything is possible.
Here’s to Selina and Nihal—a couple who taught us that when it comes to weddings, sometimes the journey is just as beautiful as the destination.
